I've made up a custom order engagement mini album using Blue Fern Studios - Blush papers.
I did a wash of dark brown acrylic paint to get down into the crevasses and details in the Prima - Montchamp Imperial resin frame. Then I went over it with yellow, pink, and champagne metallic acrylic paint.
I used Hedi Swap gold foil flakes on the frame and the chipboard "Love Everlasting" . I applied it with Glossy Accents glue. Just the same way I've seen people do with real gold leaf for gilding. I really like how it came out.
More of the same paint and gold foil on the Tim Hotz name plate on the spine. I've covered the spine with fabric.
I dressed a dress form to match the papers.
The piece of paper in the frame can be removed and used as a template to cut a picture to fit inside the frame. Then just glue down the frame.
Some magnets are used as closures and for holding photo mats in place. Here for example magnets hold these photo mats closed.
Engagement ring is a must!
There are pull out double sided photo mats and journaling spots throughout the book.
There is a Dresden bird in the upper left corner and a Dresden frame on the lace pocket.
A piece of a vintage braclet with rhinstones spakels on the ribbon at the top of this photo mat.
More foiling and paint on the chipboard pieces decorating inside the book.
These frames work the same way as the first one, (with templates inside them)
The book holds a conservative count of 50 pictures. There are places for Uncroped 4x6 and 5x7 inch photos. I've made 3 slide out Guest Book pages. Pull them out by the ribbon at the side of each page.
The back of the book has a pocket with 2 more tags for journaling on.
I found a Pinterest pin of a canvas by Jane's Lovley Cards that I loved. When I saw it I thought of the 3D die cut tea cup sets that Reneabouquets sells.... so.... I put them together (in my own way) to create this canvas. I made a video tutorial as I made it in case you would like to make one too.
Other items used:
Antique Gold metallic paint - I used Folk Art brand
Gold micro beads - Silver Micro Beads are available at Reneabouquets
Some pink beads - I used different sizes and different shades of pink
Some white beads - I used 4mm
Tea bag tags - I have an image for you to use below
small piece of string
Glue - I used Aleene's fast grab tacky glue
White Gesso - I used Martha Stewart
Clear Gesso or Mod Podge. - I used Art Basics Clear Gesso
Gloss Gel Medium for gluing beads - I used Prima Art Basics 3D Gloss Gel Tools:
Paint brush - I used 3 separate sponge brushes.
1/4 inch hole punch
Wax paper (about 12 inches)
Clips for holding paper together as the glue dries.
Tea Bag Tags - Print onto white card stock
Right click on the Tea Bag Tags image to save to your computer. Then you can print them out on a piece of card stock to use in your projects.
Hi All you creative people! I've made up a mini album using Blue Fern Studios "Happy Accident" papers. These papers are so pretty and so versatile I LOVED using them. I think the "Happy Accident" theme is so fun, and inspirational, I just had to name the mini "Such a Delight!"
