Hi Terry, can you please tell me how did you cut your 12*12 chipboard into specified measurements? Which cutter you used?
ReplyDeleteI have a big old guillotine cutter that I use just for the chipboard. But before I had that I used a box cutter and a metal ruler.
Deleteel mejor tutorial que he visto desde hace mucho tiempo , gracias por compartir tu maravillosa obra , un saludo

I'm so glad you enjoyed it Patrica!
ReplyDeleteI just finished this album. It is my first mini. I used G45 Mother Goose and adapted some areas accordingly. Added a few extra photo and journaling cards. For friends who have 12 grandchildren. Thank you for the tutorial.

DeleteBrilliant am going to try to make this album. Have to shop around as I live in England so have to rely on the internet.
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle! Isn't the internet wonderful!!
DeleteI hope you will enjoy the whole process. <3
Fabulous book, impeccable workmanship!❤️👍❗️
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!
DeleteI used your tutorial to make two albums for graduation gifts, using Graphic 45 "Raining Cats & Dogs". The mom of one of the receipients has asked me to help her make one for her parents 60th Anniversary. Thank you for your help!!
ReplyDeleteThats wonderful Joy!! I'm so glad. :D
DeleteMy apologies Terry - I was watching your tutorial on laptop for second time & following printed instructions with a migraine coming on. I appreciate your assistance & will make sure to carefully watch any video with fully functioning grey cells
ReplyDeleteTerry, thank you immensely for this fabulous tutorial. I am just at the stage of sticking all the print papers to the black cardstock. I found it easier to do it this way. Alas I need to make a new cover as someone looking at the cover over extended it and cracked the cover where it joins the spine on both the front and back cover. This is now about my seventh book that I have made, but I "just" needed to make yours as I loved it so much. Again Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, I'm very sorry and surprised your cover cracked. I wonder if you would send me a picture so I can see what happened?
ReplyDelete-Terry
Oops sorry Terry, It is now in 3 pieces as I am re-doing it. I know what happened and it is something that you mentioned in your video. I didn't quite leave enough of a gap between the three pieces of cardboard for the covers (like you said to do). I am glad it happened now though and not when I give it to the person that it is for as she lives a long 24 hour drive from my place and I wouldn't be able to fix it after I give it to her.
ReplyDeleteOk I see Anne, Nice when things like that happen while they are still fixable :D Thank you so much for your comments! I know your album will be beautiful! ((HUG))
DeleteI too was looking for an album for my son's wedding, which was held 3 days ago! The Mon Amor album is perfect. I can get started on the pages while I wait for the pictures to come. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial
ReplyDeleteThank you Cynthia, Congratulations on your sons wedding!! Happy scrapin' !! :D

ReplyDeleteTerry, I love your mini album, please tell me how I can get to your page 6 for the cutting of the pattern paper. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThank you Joyce.
DeleteThere are pictures right on this page. The Addendum for patterned papers on page 6 is Right above this comment section that show how patterned papers look.
:)
Hi Terry,
ReplyDeleteI have been following your video closely, and it is going together quite well, due to your excellent instructions, but I can't find the dimensions for the oval photo frame sheet. I saw the oval is 3 1/2 x 4 1/2, but what size black paper do you use underneath it? I presume the patterned paper is slightly smaller than the black on.
Thanks again for your wonderful tutorial.
Hi Cynthia, Yes, I see that I didn't mention this in the video. The 2 pieces on the cut list that measure 5 1/2" x 5" are the pieces you are looking for. You put the patterned paper with the oval on top of those. Use one for the inside front cover and one for page 6. Cut the patterned paper 1/4 inch smaller than the black backing. I've added a note to the video.
DeleteThank you for your question!
Hi Terry I love this tutorial and the album is beautiful. Is there a tutorial for the booklet that used on page 6? I can't seem to find it. TFS Marie
ReplyDeleteHi Mimi, The instructions for the booklet/folder starts at 1:05:26 in the video. Then there is an addendum for putting the patterned papers on here on the blog above. The adendum shows which patterned papers to put where.
DeleteI'm so glad your enjoying the tutorial! ❤️️

Hi Terry,
ReplyDeleteThank you for including a tutorial for your beautiful Mon Amour album. It is the first I have ever done. Now that I’m nearing the completion of it for my daughter’s 1st wedding anniversary, I realize there are no directions for attaching the pages to the hinged binding. I get the front and back covers, But, maybe because I’m a novice, I can’t visualize putting the center pages together. How do we avoid the black on the back sides from showing? Do you attach each page to the hinge and then some how attach the black backs of each page to each other? Help, please.
Beverly
Hi Chinagal, In the video at 2:14:19 I start putting the pages into the album. Go ahead and watch that part all through before you start doing it. That way you will know ahead of time what is going to happen. The black on the back sides don't show because the back sides are glued together black side to black side. If you are still confused after watching the video, ask again and I'll try to enplane, or show you through a clip in another tutorial. Hope this helps.
DeleteThanks much for the direct link, Terry. I don't know how I missed it!
